Earl Correll

CEO

Earl serves as CEO of On Point Custom Homes, a nationally and locally recognized custom homebuilding firm. Earl started his career in residential real estate as a project manager and now holds Graduate Master Builder and Certified Green Professional designations from the National Association of Home Builders. Earl was recently named one of Houston’s Most Admired CEOs by the Houston Business Journal. 

As CEO for On Point Custom Homes, Earl oversees all daily operations in the office and the field, ensuring every new construction, remodel, and special project receives the attention it deserves. He is vital in our leading our team to excellence ensuring every client receives a best-in-class experience.

John Leggett

Founder

Hailing from North Carolina, John’s early introduction to construction was shaped by his father’s venture. Accompanying him to job sites, John honed his expertise in residential construction. He pursued studies at the University of North Carolina, earning a Masters in Accounting and a BS in Business Administration.

Despite steering clear of construction initially, John entered investment banking in Houston. A five-year tenure followed, marked by insights from his father’s teachings. Real estate caught his interest, leading to property investments and a renewed passion for construction. He founded On Point Custom Homes at 26, fusing architecture and corporate acumen to elevate the industry. The company, known for innovation, flourished under John’s leadership.

John firmly believes the On Point team is his most valuable asset. He invests in his employees by spending a considerable amount of time with each person every day to hone their skills and build their confidence to succeed in their positions and grow in their careers. Through his leadership, John has been able to develop a strong culture and family-like environment at On Point, leading to very low employee turnover and unparalleled customer service.

He holds notable certifications, is an active industry member, and has garnered numerous awards. John’s commitment extends to his team, fostering a familial atmosphere. Beyond work, he relishes family time, tennis, and supporting his alma mater’s UNC Tar Heels.

Robert Appelgate

VP of Construction

Robert was born and raised just North of Houston making him a true born and raised Texan. Some of his earliest childhood memories include tagging along to work with his father, who worked in the home remodeling business. As he grew older, these experiences lead him to pursue a career in the construction industry with his first role being in the design and wiring of home theatre systems. During the ten years he spent in the industry managing various levels of residential projects, technology was evolving giving Robert a creative edge and insight into the smart home revolution. Robert was then given an opportunity to work with a leading electrical company where Robert became the key liaison with custom builders working in Houston’s most elite neighborhoods and homes. Working hand in hand with these custom home builders, Robert was introduced to all phases of the building process and with 20 years of experience joined On Point Custom Homes in early 2013 as a Senior Project Manager.

Robert’s passion for the building industry and customer service has made him a favorite among On Point clients and staff. He oversees and manages new construction operations in the field from start to finish making the building process as seamless as possible for homeowners. His drive and dedication are a rare find but very true to his character.

While not working, Robert enjoys spending time with his wife and four sons. You can also find Robert enjoying his days off relaxing on some much needed “lake time” aboard his boat at Lake Houston.

Ashley Tucker

VP of Operations

An overly-organized project management specialist, Ashley has a passion for all things operations related. You won’t find her without her to-do list and colored-coded pens in hand. Ashley’s eagerness and enthusiasm makes it easy for her to take on challenges, find solutions and get the job done no matter what the circumstance.

Ashley brings a variety of strategic project management and communications experience to On Point Custom Homes. From non-profit experience to agency life, Ashley has worked with a multitude of local and national businesses helping them reach their business goals through strategic and integrated operational efforts. Never satisfied with the status-quo, Ashley isn’t afraid of pushing boundaries, trying new creative techniques or mixing methods to accomplish amazing results. Ashley spearheaded several award-winning media, community and social media campaigns and was the digital advertising lead at her previous agency.

Ashley joined On Point’s in-house team as our Marketing Director in 2017 after working with John and Earl for several years managing On Point’s communications efforts at her previous agency. Her passion for creating a quality experience coupled with her willingness to push the envelope matches perfectly with On Point’s mission. As our VP of Operations, Ashley wears a multitude of hats while managing all of our internal operations, coordinating our real estate transactions and overseeing all internal and external communications.

A born-and-raised Houstonian, Ashley is no stranger to the Houston real estate industry. Her mother worked as a mortgage lender as well as in a title office, so lessons on home loans, closings and real estate investments were regular dinner-time conversation. Ashley attended HSPVA and then headed down south to attend the University of South Carolina (the real Carolina, despite what John says!) where she received a Bachelor’s degree in public relations and business.

Always looking for something to keep her busy, you can usually find this Houston native out and about exploring the city. An arts enthusiast, dessert connoisseur and party planner extraordinaire, Ashley loves finding new happy hour spots, traveling and all things Texas (especially Blue Bell Ice Cream!).

Tiffany Forristal

Architectural Designer

Tiffany is a very passionate person whose first love is architecture, and she knew by the age of twelve that her career would be focused on it. She inherited the gift from her mother, and grandfather who worked in architecture and engineering, respectively.

Inspired by the arts and crafts movement where materials and connections are executed impeccably, her process is very focused and driven to achieve excellence in all the details that really make a space flow while optimizing the function and design seamlessly. Deriving those principles from renowned Architects Sullivan and Wright, Tiffany specializes in combining the artistic and logical to find that perfect balance for her clients. There is nothing quite like the joy on a client’s face when they get to see their vision come to life and enjoy their new home!

Not satisfied with the typical or expected, she applied this same vision and experience when building her own house. Still constrained by budgets, she took known forms and materials then molded them to suit the specific needs of her family.

When she isn’t focused on something architectural she can be found in a myriad of places. It may be on a bicycle around town, behind a camera, in the garden, in the kitchen cooking and baking, or in her hobby room working on arts, crafts, and sewing projects.

Being born in a time of exponential technological advancements, she is intrigued by new ideas and what the future holds.

Hunter Smith

Internal Project Coordinator

Hunter Smith holds a Bachelors in Business Administration from Houston Baptist University. She is an experienced business owner with a skilled background in program and project management. Hunter honed her skills for logistics coordination while working as an Event and Wedding professional over the past decade and now uses those same skills to bring our client’s dream homes alive. Managing budgets, vision boards, and project schedules comes naturally to her as she is a self-starter with a knack for organizing information. Hunter acts as our traffic controller making sure homeowners, vendors, and the whole On Point team have everything they need to keep our homes on track and on budget for a successful build.

Hunter loves working with clients to make their vision a reality while making the selections and home building process smooth and stress-free.

During her time off, she enjoys exploring new Houston sites, taking her two huskies to the park, and camping throughout Texas. She is slowly making her way through all of Texas’ State Parks one trail and campsite at a time.

Forbes Jones

Project Manager

As a native Houstonian, Forbes is the first in his family to pursue a career in residential construction. By the time he was 18, his parents had remodeled numerous homes in which he and his father were heavily involved and ultimately led to his interest in the construction industry.

After graduating from Texas Tech, Forbes started his own business providing residential remodeling services including building custom fencing and major landscaping projects throughout the Houston metro area. This new endeavor helped further develop his passion and experience with project management skills and the delivery of high-quality products with strong customer satisfaction. Joining On Point, Forbes continues to build upon his past experience and significantly expand his skill set in residential construction.

While away from work, Forbes enjoys all types of hunting and spending time with his family and friends at his Aunt and Uncle’s Ranch.

Rosie Romero

Accounting Specialist

While Rosie officially joined the On Point family in 2019, she has been a part of the team for many years. Working as a Real Estate Assistant alongside Leah Leggett, Rosie assisted on hundreds of our transactions over the years learning the ins and outs of the business. From leasing to staging and beyond, she has been a part of all phases of the real estate transaction. You’ll still find her today visiting job sites and staging our homes. With a knack for numbers and exceptional organization skills, Rosie found herself gravitating to the financial side of the business and began assisting On Point part-time with daily accounting tasks.

Rosie took a leap of faith to hang up her real estate hat and expand her accounting skills when she joined On Point full time in 2019. Since joining our accounting team, Rosie has enjoyed putting her keen attention to detail to work in the office.

Born in Houston, Rosie was raised with Salvadorian customs and traditions and is fluent in Spanish. When she’s not at work, she loves spending her time with her family and husband. In their free time, you can find them out on a dance floor or on a campsite. Fun fact, Rosie met John and Earl on a jobsite years ago as a teenager! Construction runs in the family – her dad and brother own a painting company, which is how she first met On Point many years ago!

Carlos Medrano

Field Specialist

Carlos “Smiley” is a skilled field team worker who has been part of the On Point team for over 13 years. With a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence, Smiley is a valuable asset to any project. As field specialist, Smiley has a proven track record of efficiently identifying and addressing all of our punch list and completing the detail work of your home’s finishing touches to the highest standards. One of Smiley’s defining characteristics is his ability to tackle any job with a smile on his face. He approaches each task with enthusiasm, regardless of its size or complexity, and maintains a positive outlook even in challenging situations. His upbeat personality and friendly demeanor create a positive work environment, boosting team morale and fostering a collaborative atmosphere on the job site.
