It was designed for a family that cooks together on Sunday nights, that needs counter space for the holidays, and that wanted the kids close by without the living room disappearing.

We just built the room. They knew exactly how they were going to use it.

The scullery is one of the most requested spaces we’re seeing right now, and it’s easy to understand why once you’ve had one. It lives right off the kitchen — a second sink, a second refrigerator, counter space, upper cabinets. When you’re hosting, the mess stays out of sight. When groceries come in, they have somewhere to land. When the kitchen needs to look like a kitchen again, everything has a place to go.
